LocalServices is no longer being further developed. The last update is currently from 2019. The successor to LocalServices is the Client Bridge software. It is possible to gradually introduce the Client Bridge; it can be installed alongside the LocalServices Client without any issues. RetailVista supports printing to both LocalServices and BridgeClient printers. An important difference between a LocalServices Client and a Bridge Client is that the latter can be used not only for label printers but also for A4 reports. More and more RetailVista reports will be able to be printed to Bridge Client printers in the coming time. Ultimately, Bridge Client technology will completely replace LocalServices.
